Tandoori Aloo

Tandoori aloo is a flavorful and nutritious vegetarian dish. Potatoes are an excellent source of vitamin C, vitamin B6, potassium, and manganese. They are also a good source of fiber, which promotes healthy digestion. The tandoori spices used, such as red chili powder, cumin, coriander, and garam masala, provide antioxidants and have anti-inflammatory properties. The yogurt marinade used in tandoori aloo contributes beneficial probiotics that aid digestion.

Ingredients:

  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon tandoori masala powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Chopped coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions:

Marinate:

  • In a large bowl, mix yogurt, tandoori masala, red chili powder, cumin powder, garam masala red chili powder, garlic, ginger, lemon juice, and salt.
  • Add cubed potatoes and mix well to coat evenly.
  • Marinate potatoes for at least 30 minutes.

Air Fry Oven:

  • Preheat air fryer oven to 380°F (193°C).
  • Remove marinated potatoes from bowl, shaking off excess marinade.
  • Place potatoes in air fryer basket in a single layer, not overcrowding.
  • Drizzle oil over potatoes.
  • Air fry for 15-20 minutes, shaking basket halfway, until potatoes are tender and crispy.

Serve:

  • Transfer tandoori aloo to a serving dish.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with mint chutney or raita.
